About the Author: Anna Jane Wilson
Psychic practices, psychic crime, and psychic entities are not topics I ever thought I would write about or educate others on. My background is in fashion modelling, hospitality management, and directing—fields in which I have worked and studied extensively.
In 2006, I became the director of a Wellness Centre that offered psychic readings and healing services. By 2007, I fell victim to a psychic crime unlike any other. The police later captured the perpetrator. He was later publicly named as a danger to society by the Supreme Court of Melbourne, Australia. I held my position as director for nine years, during which I recruited many psychic practitioners and gained a deeper understanding of the industry—if only to begin unravelling the many questions I had myself.
Today, I would like to share an excerpt from my book, Pandora’s Box, Chapter 3: Ethical Practice The Practising Psychic & the Path of Healing
Self-Mastery & Psychic Practice – The Path of Healing
The ability to channel and communicate with spirit looks easy and impressive, but skill, training and practice are required attributes for a practitioner working as an open channel.
For a practitioner, the ability to remain witness to energy is found in their level of self-mastery and development. Self-mastery is attained through ongoing personal development and training.
If a practising psychic does not attain and maintain self-mastery, eventually they may fall victim to manipulation by external energies, become locked in denial, and projections will eventually occur.
The Process of enlightenment is continuous
The process of preparation and enlightenment is continuous.
It is imperative that a psychic or spiritual practitioner continues to attend to and overcome his or her own tests in life in order to continue inner enfoldment towards the divine source of wisdom, inner voice and higher conscience.
Those who hinder this process become entrapped by their ego causing division within the self.
The Grief Cycle
Grief is profound. Grief can be transformative. It is through suffering that we can potentially evolve, transform and open up psychically and creatively.
My experience of grief after the loss of my firstborn created a witness within myself to every level within my being, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually and true to the five stages of the grief cycle.
The book On grief and grieving by Elisabeth Kubler Ross explains the five fundamental stages of grief, including the first and second stages of denial and anger, and the fifth stage of acceptance.
I came to experience powerful waves of first denial, then anger and so forth until I reached acceptance. I continued to pen my first book, A leap of Faith, an expression via poetry of the deep sensations I came to experience, which today has become my own basis for further expression in the processes of grief and personal and spiritual development.
Personal Development & The Path of Healing
I now believe that every human experience various stages of the grief cycle, in varying degrees, and subsequently the opportunity for personal and spiritual development. This can be applied to any event that results in a loss. It can be a divorce, a death or a loss of a job.
To rise to such challenges and process our emotions instead of becoming locked into the first stage of denial requires inner “strength and courage. By overcoming life’s challenges, one is able to experience a symbolic death and rebirth and with it an expansion of self.
One’s Gold- Compassion, Empathy, Faith and Honour as Personality Traits
When a gifted psychic or any person has overcome their challenges and adversities in life to a level of self-awareness that permits self-mastery of one’s ego, their ability to combine compassion, empathy, intelligence, faith and honour as personality traits becomes their gold. It is only the workings of ego in every equation that holds back this evolution.
