The Inner Child- Life & the Power of the Subconscious Mind

A story about a special little Soul.

In 2005. I became an overnight artist for about 18 months. About my seventh painting I painted this – a baby. It was late one night before going to bed, and I decided to use up some left over paint with my roller and a paintbrush. It took me about ten minutes.

I didn’t know at the time, but I was pregnant with my first born, a son. The universe was screaming at me, telling me I was, but I wasn’t listening …yet.

I was not in a good space in my life at the time.

Grief, The Hidden Gift & Inner Child Healing

This child did not survive, but in the short time he was with me, he taught me so much about self-love and healing. I finally began to listen within.

After his birth and whilst transitioning through grief, I continued to paint and write poetic prose.

In the end, I completed a cycle of art – about 55 art pieces with accompanying prose which I share in my book and “An Artist story”

Self love and loving your inner child

About 14 months later, I took over a wellness Centre in my locality, later naming it Leap of Faith Wellness.

As challenging and profoundly sad as the story was at the time, the soul gave me a gift- a voice in creativity and self love.

A peacock stands grand.
The waves break
On the shelly sand.
The eagles fly high,
High above in the sky.
The kingfishers glide
And dive from up high.
The seals squeak.
The dogs bark.
Their deep brown eyes love you
Out of the dark.
Climb out, sweet child.
Laugh and shout.
Let temperament be mild.
Take note, be about.
A Leap of Faith
Is all you need
To figure it
All out.
